Frances Marshall’s Spice Base

Before I moved to London 4 years ago, I never ate curries, but I’m now obsessed! I used to think they were super complicated and I knew nothing about spices, but then I learned how to make a coconut milk curry and I was hooked. For those like me who didn’t know the spice base that works, here you go. Don’t they look pretty?

1tbsp garam masala
2tbsps curry powder
2tsp cumin
1tsp coriander powder
1tsp paprika
1/2tsp turmeric
Shove a load on cauliflower, broccoli, lentils, aubergine, whatever gets you living your best life.
